If you told me even a few months ago that I would be a guest designer for American Crafts, I wouldn't believe it! This is an absolute dream come true for me and I am so honored and excited to have been selected. I got extra lucky because this week's theme is FLOWERS! As a true girly girl, I love all things flowers and I was so excited to create projects using this theme! Today I have FIVE projects to share with you, all involving flowers! So without further aideu, here we go!
First, the layouts:
First, the layouts:
I loved using such an elegant cut file (this one) with black! I think it really made it POP! It was so fun to mix Amy Tangerine's Plus One with Heidi Swapp's Favorite Things! They were a perfect match.
Our beautiful niece is just too precious for words! I loved fussy-cutting flowers from Dear Lizzy's Daydreamer collection patterned paper to make the layout extra special. I'm a big fan of fussy-cutting because it's a great way to create your own patterned paper or inexpensive embellishments!
I used a hexagon punch to create my own flowered background! Plus One mixes so well with Studio Calico's Lemon Lush! I can't get enough of the bright and cheerful colors.
I also made a card! It was a simple and easy one: I just cut some banners from patterned paper and outlined everything with a black pen. Die-cuts added the finishing touch! So easy and cute!
Finally, I made this decorative S (for Stewart, my last name). I thought it would be a great decoration for spring/summer to liven up our home! I simply die cut LOTS of flowers from my Cameo (using this cut file), and layered them on top of each other to cover the "S". I used a mix of patterned papers from Lemon Lush, Wanderlust, and Daydreamer.
So there you have it!! My projects designed for American Crafts!! I can't believe I just typed that sentence! Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share my excitement with you! :)
