Chickaniddy Pinterest Challenge

I don't know about you, but I spend WAY too much time on Pinterest! I just love all the ideas and inspiration it has! Today I'm excited to be sharing a layout inspired by an image found on Pinterest.

I loved the gorgeous colors and patterns of the woodgrain, and thought it would make a perfect background!

The background was so easy to create! I just glued strips in a chevron fashion so it mimicked the woodgrain, which makes it look much more complicated than it actually is! I loved mixing and matching Date Night and Twirly Girly for my layers. I'll take any chance I can get to include pink in my projects! Because the background is so busy, I trimmed it down a bit and mounted it on white cardstock. This is a great trick if you want to tone down a layout!
