Michael and I were very excited to have a mutual weekday off last week. Michael took a few days of well deserved vacation, so we decided to go to the beach for the day. We go at least once a year (we feel so fortunate to live only 90 minutes from the beautiful Oregon coast), and had already been with Ted last month. The only Oregon beach we've ever been to together is Cannon Beach. It's our favorite place to visit and we like to do the same things and eat at the same places every time we go! It's a relaxing little getaway for us.
We immediately started goofing around in the water upon our arrival.
We walked to Haystack Rock, then took a few selfies.
We saw a seal pup whose mom had parked him on the shore to go hunting. Apparently it's rare to occur on such a public beach! The had the area blocked off so it's would be able to hear its mother calling for him, and also so that people would leave it alone.
We went to Mo's (a well-known restaurant with locations in several beach towns along the Oregon Coast) and got our favorite meal ever: a cup of clam chowder and a shrimp melt.
And what's dinner without dessert?
We went back to the beach for a stroll, and I found a really big jelly fish!!
Michael goofed around :)
We watched the sunset, then called it a day.
We had such a wonderful time!! I've had so much fun scrapping these pictures. I purposefully coordinated our outfits to match the new Ocean Melody collection. I've made four layouts so far:
I love the colors and patterns in this collection and I can't wait to use it more! Thanks for reading about our little adventure!
