Elle's Studio October Release
8:00 AMHello there! It's time for the October release from Elle's Studio. I can't believe it's Autumn already! Fall is my favorite time of the year: I love the crisp air, cozy sweaters, beautiful leaves, and pumpkin everything. I have two new fall layouts to share with you today, both using the new and exclusive products!
This month's kit is gorgeous, and it marks the first time you can get a subscription! Subscriptions open up today (October 10th), and anyone who signs up today gets a free gift.Since the shipping charge is built into your subscription each month, anything else purchased on the 10th each month will ship for free with their kit (USA address) or at a reduced shipping charge for internationals! And now for some layout sharing :)
Usually one of the layouts I do each month is inspired by a journaling card in the kit, and October was no exception. I loved the leaves printed on the 4"x6" card, and built my layout around it. I used my Cameo to cut out leaves, and backed them in colors that matched the journaling card. The wide variety of colors allowed me to pull from Little Moments, Sunny Days, and Joyful collections. I couldn't find orange, so I used watercolor to paint white cardstock the shade I needed. I added many die cuts from the kit, as well as the fun acrylic leaves and the acrylic title (which is the free gift you get with your subscription!
This next layout was inspired by a Halloween cut file from Elle's Studio.
First I cut the speech bubble from my Cameo, and then ran it through again with the sketch pen outlining the title. I used the sketch pen lines to create my stitching template and stitch with black thread. I backed each letter with patterns from the Happy Halloween Journaling Tags. I used an adorable photo of my niece, and embellished with the Happy Halloween Wood Veneers and shapes cut from the tags.
