December Elle's Studio

Hello friends! I'm here sharing my FINAL layouts for Elle's Studio! It's been such a wonderful two years, and I'm truly honored to have been a part of such a talented team using Elle's AWESOME products! The December release was my last as a part of the team, and I couldn't have imagined a better way to go! The products this much are nothing short of amazing, and I loved creating with them.

Here's a look at the layouts I created!

For this first layout, I was so in love with the puffy stickers released this month, that I created a whole layout based around them. I used the December cut file that had the same shapes on half of my page. I added the puffy stickers and the white cut outs on the other part of the page and had a really awesome background!

For my second layout, I used the Document December kit to create a festive page.

I used a Christmas tree cut file from the Silhouette studio as my background. I backed random trees throughout the design with papers from the Document December kit. Next, I grabbed some 3"x4" cards from the December kit for photo layers. I cut the "Fa La La" cut file from a 4"x6" journaling card for the title, and added a puffy sticker subtitle. Next, I finished off with a few pieces of the adorable chipboard and the sequin/wood shapes mix! So fun!

November Elle's Studio layouts

Hello there! I can't believe it's November already, and nearly Thanksgiving! This is my favorite time of year! I have my tree up already and I'm heading out to do some more Christmas shopping today. Like always, I love all the fun new stuff in this month's Elle's Studio release!

I love the Christmas vibe of this month, paired with all the pops of blue! So fun! Here's a look at the layouts I created using these products:

My first layout is all about blue! I used the Heart Clusters cut file and backed the hearts with blue papers from the Family Fun collection. I added some mist splatters, and grabbed all the home/house elements I could find. I used the November cut file to cut out the little house, and stitched around it. I added my photo and surrounded it with all the house elements, as well as my title. I finished with a few hearts!

My next layout is all about the snowflakes!

I used the November cut file to cut out snowflakes from white cardstock, and backed them all with vellum. I arranged the die cut snowflakes and wood snowflakes across the page to create a background. I added puffy hearts on each snow flake, and used the adorable Santa acrylic as a title! I love the way it turned out.

Halloween Cards

Hello there! Tomorrow is Halloween and I have some spooky fun cards to share using the This is Halloween kit from the Fairytale Club.

For this first card, I covered the background in patterned paper, and added smaller rectangle, and so on, and so on, so I created a layered look with a focal point. I added a tag, to help the sentiment stand out, as well as some die cuts and flair.

For my next card, I added patterned paper to the background, and stitched the fun heart transparency over it. I added a doily to help the tag pop, and finished off with some die cuts and stickers.

For my final card, I used a cut file that I had originally intended to make a layout background. It ended up being too busy. I cut it down to a smaller size and used it as a background for the card. I added a tag and stickers, and the card was complete!

October Elle's Studio

Hello there! I'm here to share the October Elle's Studio release, and the layouts I created using all the fun new products! Here's a look at what's coming out this month:

My favorites are the Halloween items and the wood veneer leaves, both of which I used on the layouts I created!

The first layout I created was inspired by all the leaves in this month's release, and the colors of the Family Fun collection. I used the stamp to create leaves of different colors. Next, I used the cut file to cut out leaves, and backed them with the same colors as what I stamped. I arranged them all the leaves in the circle, and added the wood leaves on top. I added my photo and used the acrylic "thankful" as a title. I finished with a puffy stickers and diecut phrases on the side of my photo! The result was a colorful, fall page.

My next layout is Halloween inspired:

To create this layout, I started with the Star Background file. I used just part of it so the stars would be more spread out. First, I ran some of the cut file through my Silhouette with a sketch pen so I could hand stitch the stars. I ran it again, this time to cut out the remaining stars. I stitched the stars in coordinating colors, and backed the open ones with the Halloween mini collection. I used the Halloween collection as layers for my photos, and embellished with the Halloween wood veneers and puffy stickers. I finished off with some splatters of mist and the layout was complete!

Everyday Life

Hello friends! I have a new layout to share for the Fairytale Club using the Take Note collection!

I was inspired by the "Everyday Life" piece with the castle on it, and wanted to include pictures of us at the castle during each of our three trips. I printed them out in black and white because I planned on using as many patterns of paper as possible!

This layout was really easy to create! I made hexagons using a triangle punch, and arranged them cascading across my page. I added my photos and title, and then used a few fussy cut flowers above and below the photos. Finally, I finished with hearts. It was super simple and easy!

September Elle's Studio

Hello there! I'm here today sharing my September Elle's Studio layouts! This is an especially exciting month because it marks the release of Elle's newest collection, Family Fun! It's a great, versatile collection just in time for Fall! It also coordinates beautifully with some of the September exclusive items!

I love royal blue, orange, and woodgrain colors in the collection!

My other favorite items are the sequins, and wood veneer borders and phrases! I created two fun layouts using these products:

For my first layout, I created a mixed media background using the packaging technique as well as the Family Fun stamp. I used a black and white photo to stand out against the background, and added my layers. Next, I added phrases and wood veneer above and below the photo. I used this month's exclusive acrylic word "favorite" for my title. I finished by adding sequins throughout the page, and creating a little circle cluster over twine, using stamped phrases and a die cut from the monthly kit.

My next layout used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe!

I backed some of the open shapes with paper from the 6"x6" pad, and some I left empty. The royal blue in the collection matches our Disney pictures so well, that I couldn't help using one! I layered my photo with journaling cards and tissue paper, and added a few embellishments from the Family Fun collection. This was simple layout to create!

August Elle's Studio Layouts!

Hello there! I'm here today to share the August Elle's Studio Release! There are lots of fun and bright colors, which are so versatile. My favorite items are all the new wood veneer items, and I used them on both of the pages I created this month! Here's a look at this month's release:

For the first page I created, I used the YUM wood veneer set!

As soon I saw it, I knew I needed to do a page about all the yummy food we had in Disneyland. I covered the wood letters in adhesive, and wrapped twine around them. I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe to cut the squares from a piece of white cardstock. I backed some of the squares with photos, and some with coordinating paper. TIP: I didn't have any orange paper, but I wanted to use orange in this page. I just used watercolors to paint on a piece of scrap white cardstock to create my own orange paper!

I added a few puffy stickers, as well as the adorable Tiny Heart stickers, and the layout was complete!

For my next layout, I used lots of papers from the Live. Laugh. Love. 6x6 paper stack.

I punched a bunch of squares out and folded opposite corners of each square in towards the center. I didn't glue the ends down, because it added lots of dimension! I used the new shape to create a quilt like pattern by lining up the squares end to end. I started at an angle and diagonally created the quilt shape until it filled up most of the page, leaving white space for my photo and title.

I used the heart Wood Veneer Pocket Filler to anchor my title. I backed it with a journaling card from the kit, and used puffy alphas for the title.

Finally, I finished off the page with mist splatters, more puffy stickers, washi stickers, and wood veneers!

July Elle's Studio Release!

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing my layouts for the July Elle's Studio release! There are lots of fun new items this month, and I loved creating with them. As usual, I created two layouts using these awesome products.

I love all the bright, summery colors! Here's a look at my pages:

For my first layout, I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe as a background. I backed each part of the circle with one of four colors, alternating each one. Once I had my background, the rest of the layout was super easy! I glued the gorgeous acrylic title to one of the journaling cards in the July kit, added my photo, and a few embellishments. I finished off with mist splatters and puffy stars!

My next page was inspired by a quilt pattern:

I cut a piece of white gardstock into nine even squares. Next, I cut small strips of varying sizes from my chosen colors. I glued them randomly onto a corner of each of the squares, and then glued the squares down to a piece of 12x12 paper. The result is a fun, quilt style background! I used the awesome Title Builder set to create my title. I love how easy it makes creating titles!

June Elle's Studio Layouts

Hello there! It's a new month, which means a brand new Elle's Studio release! There are lots of great products this month, full of fun, cheerful, summer colors!! Here's a look at the new goodies:

My favorite items are the fun cork tabs, the puffy hearts, and the patriotic acrylic stars and hearts! I created two layouts for this month's release, and I have a third one coming to the Elle's Studio blog this month!

My first layout was inspired by one of the journaling cards in this month's kit! I loved the confetti look with curvy string, and replicated the look on my page. I punched out circles in colors that corresponded to the journaling card, and stitched them down onto the page. It was fun to not worry about keeping a straight stitch! Next, I stamped out my title using the Stanley Alphabet Outline stamp, and fussy cut each letter. I used journaling cards from the kit as my layers, and glued down my photo and title. I completed the look with puffy stars from last month, and the adorable cork tabs!

My next layout was inspired by the patriotic colors of the acrylic hearts and stars!

I used blues and reds from Sunny Days and Live Laugh Love to create fun quilted squares for a background. I stitched each square, and added lots of acrylic and puffy hearts and stars! Our picture with Captain America was perfect for this layout!

You Have My Heart

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a layout I created for The Cut Shoppe using the Heart Eyes cut file.

To create this layout, I cut 1" strips of various patterns from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away paper pad, and I adhered them at an angle on my page. Next, I added tissue paper to tone down the busy background and to help my photos stand out. I cut out the heart, and backed it with a pink paper. I used three small photos, and added stickers and fussy cut flowers as my embellishments. With that, the layout was complete! Thanks for joining me, have a great day!

May Elle's Studio Release!

Hello friends, today I'm sharing the May Elle's Studio release with you! I created two layouts using these fun new products. Here's a look at this month's release:

I love the fun colors and summer vibes! Here's a look at the layouts I created.

My first layout was inspired by the hexagons throughout the May release. I used a hexagon punch and laid them out in an abstract pattern, I added the wood hexagons on top of the of the punched out pieces, and then placed my photo. I used the wood veneer "FUN" as a title, and cut out the quote from a journaling card!

My next layout uses a cut file from The Cut Shoppe:

I cut out the star design from the Strings Attached cut file, and backed it with patterns from the 6x6 pad. Next, I used my sewing machine to stitch along the cut file, I added my photo and used the Adventure acrylic as my title, along with the super fun pink puffy letters! I finished with some fun embellishments, like the puffy and acrylic stars, and the washi tape stickers! April Elle's Studio Release

Hello there! Today I'm here to share the April Elle's Studio exclusive products, and the two layouts I created!

My number one favorite item in this month's release are the puffy stickers!! I LOVE hearts, and use them on all my pages. The colors are gorgeous! I also love the alpha letters, especially the pink ones! One great thing about this release is that it coordinates perfectly with the new Live Laugh Love collection, which I used in both these layouts.

For my first layout, I cut the polka dot pattern from a scrap piece of cardstock and used it as a stencil with modeling paste. Next, I cut a banner from a patterned paper in the Live Laugh Love collection, and sewed it down. I used journaling cards from the April Exclusive kit as my layering pieces, as well as small blank labels from Live Laugh Love. I added phrases above and below my photo using die cuts from the kit, the Extraordinary stickers, Live Laugh Love die cuts, and the Live Laugh Love Word Labels.

My next layout is full of rainbow colors and lots of hearts!!

I started with the rainbow striped paper from the Live Laugh Love collection. I placed strips on either side of the page, and then sewed them down. Next, I used yellow mist with the packaging technique on one side of the page, and added my photos and layers. I love the washi tape stickers! I cut out the "Life is Full of Beauty" from one of the journaling cards in the April kit.

I finished with lots of hearts using the wood veneers, puffy stickers, and vellum! I love the rainbow look! Here is a list of all the products I used (all brand new today!!):

March Elle's Studio Projects

Hello friends! It's time to share my March projects with Elle's Studio! This is an extra special month because it's Elle's TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! Woohoo! There are lots of fun things they are doing to celebrate, and I can't wait to share with you! New March Items

I have two layouts to share with you:

For this first layout, I cut a doily shape using my Silhouette Cameo. Inspired by the greens and blues in the March products, I pulled papers from Little Moments, Sunny Days, and the March kit and backed the doily.

After I placed my photo, I added my title around the center of the doily using the brand new and GORGEOUS puffy alphas! I love them! I used spray ink to paint the "Enjoy" wood veneer, and added some die cuts with the kit. Finally, I finished with some of the new sequins! I love the extra sparkle it gives the page!

My second layout was inspired by the super fun vellum circles! I loved all the fun phrases and sayings, and wanted them to be the focus of my page.

I various sized circles from coordinating colors in the Little Moments and Sunny Days collection, as well as the March kit. I kept my photo in the center of the page, and fussy cut the title "Hooray" from one of the journaling cards. I accented the page with sequins, ink splatters, and puffy stars!

I had SO much fun using these products. The color scheme is gorgeous and pushed me out of my pink comfort zone. Be sure to check out the products in the shop, and don't forget about all the birthday festivities!

Hello there! Today I'm excited to be a stop on the blog hop/product swap with Bella Blvd and The Cut Shoppe! We're all sharing projects using Bella products with cut files, AND there are prizes!

First, let's get started with my page. I'm using the NEW Barnyard collection with my favorite font, the Open Letter Alpha!

I had a photo of my niece that was just perfect for this collection. I used the cute patterned paper as a background, but made it a little less busy using some gesso. I cut my title from my Cameo, and backed each letter with patterns from the collection. I added my photo with the cute washi tape, and embellished with the designer clips. Super simple and fun!

February Elle's Studio Reveal

Hello friends, the February reveal for Elle's Studio is here! I get so excited to get this in the mail each month. I always love the adorable products Elle creates, and this is another great month of a beautiful kit and awesome extras!

I created two fun layouts with the February goodies!

For my first layout, I used a cut file from the Sillhouette Store. I backed some of the triangles with patterned paper, and also cut patterned triangles to go on top. I stitched around all the triangles that had patterned paper. Next, I chose my photo and used the February Labels as my layers. I used the Sweetheart and XO acrylic words to go above and below my photo. I finished the layout with puffy heart,s and some heart and speech bubble stickers.

My next layout was inspired by the Love You journaling tags. I love the purple, teal, red, and pink together, and added several of the cards (along with some patterned paper) as a giant layering piece. I used an angled piece of paper from Little Moments and some coordinating mist as my background, and sewed around the edges. I added a giant doily under my layers, and the adorable LOVE acrylic title. I used puffy hearts and hand-cut the heart outlines from the Speech Bubble sticker sheet. Using the outlines of shaped stickers is getting two for the price of one! I sewed my layers down and left the strings loose for added texture.

Date Night

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a post for The Cut Shoppe using The Geo Globe cut file and the beautiful Moonstruck collection by Pink Paislee.

I'm crazy about the circle design of the cut file, it's just made for backing! I used the 6"x6" pad from the Moonstruck collection to back each triangle in the circle. I added rubons, stickers, and die cuts in some of the triangles for more detail. I used tissue paper as layers from my photo, and thickers for my title! Finally, I stitched around the circle.

January Elle's Studio Reveal

Hello friends, it's time for the January Elle's Studio reveal! I LOVE the colors this month! Anything with purple is my favorite! Elle also create some fun NEW items, including Heart Puffy Stickers, sequins, and stickers!

I created two layouts with these fun products:

For my first layout, I was inspired by one of the journaling cards. I loved circle banner printed on one of the 3"x4" cards, and replicated the look on my page. I used the same color scheme,and arranged it similarily on my page. Next, I stitched the circles down, and bent the edges up for added dimension. I used the packaging technique to add color to my background, and then added my photo and layers. I fussy cut that gorgeous striped heart from one of the journaling cards! I cut my title from my Silhouette and added lots of embellishments from this month's release! I used the Love Ya wood veneers, the acrylic hearts, and die-cuts. I love how it turned out!

My second layout uses the January cut files!

I think this is one of my favorite layouts ever! I cut the "True Love" out at an angle, and used the negative for my page. I traced it onto a scratch piece of cardstock, and added squares punched from the Little Moments 6"x6" pad. I outlined the entire thing in black to make it stand out. Next, I added black and white photos at the top and bottom of my page. I stamped phrases using the All My Heart cut file. I added a few acrylic hearts and die-cuts, but mostly kept it simple to focus on that lovely title!

Elle's Studio December Release

Hello there! It's time for the December Elle's Studio reveal. I can't believe it's December already! I've had such a blast being a part of the Elle's Studio DT for the past year, and I'm thrilled to be staying on for 2017. Elle is such a class act, and her products are fantastic. It's an honor to be creating with them! I've loved every release and this month is no exception. The December Exclusive kit is fabulous!

And look at the other exclusive items! The Celebrate and Holly acrylic pieces are my absolute favorite!

I created two layouts with this month's kit! For the first one, I used the Tis the Season collection and the Marie alphabet stamp.

I love this layout! I used the Half Hearted cut file from The Cut Shoppe as my background, and then backed each heart piece with different patterns using the Tis the Season 6"x6" pad. I toned the background down a bit by sewing vellum over the top and crinkling the edges. Adding vellum on top of things is my favorite way to transform a busy background! I added layers and distressed the edges for texture. Next, I stamped my title onto the vellum using Staz On ink. I sewed down various layers and embellishments for added interest. I love the way it turned out!

Each month I try to do a layout inspired by one of the journaling cards included in the kit. This month I was inspired by the stars and color scheme of the "Happy New Year" card, so I decided to create a similar page!

I started by adding splatters in the colors I was going to use. I originally planned on the packaging technique, but wasn't happy with the way it turned out. I decided to cut the packaging background into squares for later use. Next, I use a star punch to create the stars from my background. I used papers from the kit, the Little Moments 6"x6" pad, papers from Tis T

Season, as well as a paper from Sunny Days. I framed my photo with layers, and sandwiched it between two acrylic titles. I backed the titles on the packaging technique paper I saved! They are super shimmery and pretty in person!! I stitched each part of my mini grid down, and finished with some acrylic stars. Super fun!

Hello friends! I'm so excited to be sharing the Elle's Studio November launch with you today. I love the versatility of this release--it coordinates with Autumn themed items AND the Tis the Season collection!

I am especially in love with all of the extras this month, The acrylics and wood veneers are so adorable! I created two layouts using the November release and the Tis the Season collection.

This first layout was so fun to create! I was inspired by one of the 4"x6" cards in the November exclusive kit. I used the Tis the Season 6"x6" paper pack and a punch to create circles, then I cut the circles in half and created banners with them. I staggered each half circle, so it looked messy and imperfect, then sewed each banner down. I bent the ends of the half circles up for added texture, and added my layers

I used the ADORABLE wood veneer tags to border my photo, and the beautiful Merry Christmas acrylic for the the title!

For my next layout, I wanted to use the Bah Hum Bug acrylic. I had a few pictures of Teddy looking very unamused that I thought would be perfect!

I used the new November cut file and cut snowflakes from the Tis the Season paper pad. I placed them randomly across the page to create a background. To help my photos and title stand out, I backed them with the woodgrain paper and sewed it down.

I also stitched around the edge of the layout for a border! I added a few bits from the November kit, as well as the Tis the Season Bits & Pieces and washi tape. I finished off with the star acrylics!

Hello Fall

Fall is my all time favorite season. I love everything about it! Beautiful leaves, crisp air, cozy sweaters, a cup of tea when it's pouring outside. I find trees I like and take pictures of them, and sometimes I can convince Michael to do a mini photo shoot with trees in the background! The picture in this layout was the result of a beautiful fall day and a selfie stick. I used the new Oakley Avenue collection by Ashley Horton and the Hello Fall cut file.

To create this layout, I cut the "Hello Fall" and backed it with patterned vellum from the Oakley Avenue collection. I used the paper frame die cuts and backed those with another patterned vellum, and arranged them as a background. I placed my photo underneath the title, and added some die cuts, heart stickers, and fussy cut cross stitch hearts (from the clear acetate paper) as embellishments. Super easy and fun! Hi there! Earlier this month I participated in a team up with Simple Stories and Just Nick cut files. I love using cut files, and these layouts were no exception.

For my first layout, I used the Basketweave Background cut file and The Reset Girl collection!

I cut the Basketweave from white cardstock, and backed each rectangle with green patterns featured thoughout The Reset Girl collection. Next, I sewed vellum over the top so it made the background a little less busy. Starting with a Library Pocket as a layering piece, I placed my photo and layers on the page. I cut flowers from the "Like a Boss" paper, and added them behind the photo.

My title came from another patterned paper: I think fussy cutting is a fantastic way to get more mileage out of your collections! I added a few more embellishments, and the layout was complete!

My second layout was created using the Hello Fall collection and Leaf Cluster cut file.

I backed the Leaf Cluster with patterns from the 6"x6" paper pad. I use up almost all of my 6"x6" pads by backing cut files! Once I had the cut file on my background, I stitched down the middle of the leaves to add interest and secure the cut file to the page. Next, I used bronze Stickles for the dots of the leaves.

I loved the large" FALL" in the chipboard set, and immediately wanted to use it as part of my title. I added the "Hello" chipboard with it to create the full title, which happens to be the name of this collection! To finish the page, I added lots of word stickers and some die-cut leaves.

I was so inspired by the Just Nick files and had so much fun pairing them with Simple Stories products! Thanks for joining me today!

Elle's Studio October Release

Hello there! It's time for the October release from Elle's Studio. I can't believe it's Autumn already! Fall is my favorite time of the year: I love the crisp air, cozy sweaters, beautiful leaves, and pumpkin everything. I have two new fall layouts to share with you today, both using the new and exclusive products!

This month's kit is gorgeous, and it marks the first time you can get a subscription! There are also tons of cute exclusive items this month. My favorite are the wood veneers, acrylic shapes, and journaling cards.

And now for some layout sharing :)

Usually one of the layouts I do each month is inspired by a journaling card in the kit, and October was no exception. I loved the leaves printed on the 4"x6" card, and built my layout around it. I used my Cameo to cut out leaves, and backed them in colors that matched the journaling card. The wide variety of colors allowed me to pull from Little Moments, Sunny Days, and Joyful collections. I couldn't find orange, so I used watercolor to paint white cardstock the shade I needed. I added many die cuts from the kit, as well as the fun acrylic leaves and the acrylic title (which is the free gift you get with your subscription!

This next layout was inspired by a Halloween cut file from Elle's Studio.

First I cut the speech bubble from my Cameo, and then ran it through again with the sketch pen outlining the title. I used the sketch pen lines to create my stitching template and stitch with black thread. I backed each letter with patterns from the Happy Halloween Journaling Tags. I used an adorable photo of my niece, and embellished with the Happy Halloween Wood Veneers and shapes cut from the tags.

The colors and outdoorsy theme aren't something I would typically gravitate towards, but it was also fun to be pushed outside of my comfort zone! It ended being absolutely perfect for our recent pictures at California Adventure's Cars Land!

Hello! Today I have a layout to share using the Pink Paislee Fancy Free collection!

Products Used: Patterned Paper (Pink Paislee Fancy Free), Embellishments (Pink Paislee Fancy Free, Pinkfresh Studio, Pink Paislee Cedar Lane), Vellum (Doodlebug), Washi Tape (October Afternoon)

I was crazy about this beautiful pink watercolor patterned paper, and thought it would make a perfect background. I chose this fun picture of Michael and I at Disneyland holding animated balloons! The colors matched the Fancy Free collection so well. I various sizes of hearts from the 6x6 paper pad, and arranged them cascading around the photo. I added chipboard elements from the collection, as well as a few other embellishments!
